Course description: 

Designed for Hospital or Health Care IT staff, the Philips Ultrasound Security Plus eLearning module will describe the features available within the Security Plus option.  

The Security Plus and Safeguard options provide applicable technical safeguards in support of HIPPA requirements. Security Plus provides the ability to prevent access to the system by unauthorized users, and allows configuration of either a set of local accounts and passwords, or allows configuration and connection to a central account management system following the LDAP protocol. It also allows for audit logging and provides the ability to encrypt electronic Patient Health Information (ePHI) at rest so that if a system has its hard drive removed, or a system is improperly removed from a site, patient data is not compromised. 

Security Plus and SafeGuard are licensed options that must be enabled prior to use on the system.
