This course is for ultrasound technologists to learn essential image optimization techniques when performing Obstetrical and Gynecologic ultrasound exams.  Topics covered include a review of the various imaging modes, adjustment of basic and advanced technical features, Color Flow Imaging and Pulsed Wave Doppler.

  • Recognize the different modes of ultrasound imaging
  • Recognize how adjusting basic technical features such as depth, focus, Time Gain Compensation (TGC), and Gain can improve ultrasound images
  • Recognize how adjusting the more advanced technical features can improve ultrasound image quality 
  • Recognize the benefits and utilization of Color Flow Imaging 
  • Recognize the benefits of and utilization of Pulsed Waved Doppler (PW)
