This training is intended to increase your knowledge of topics of concern when performing pediatric CT scans.

This is a dynamic educational experience that builds your pediatric CT scanning knowledge and helps you to retain it. During this course, we use various methods to engage you and help you to learn about pediatric CT scanning.

The course consists of instruction and hands-on training associated with pediatric CT scanning. Within this course several types of materials are used to encourage learning including: interactive e-learning and resource materials.

  • Explain how to use dose tools for pediatric imaging.
  • List advantages of performing scans using advanced reconstruction modes.
  • Define XR-29 and explain how it is used on the scanner.
  • Recognize factors that affect image quality.
  • Identify when to use and not use immobilization devices.
  • Define practices that reduce anxiety.
  • Center patients properly for scanning and explain why it is important.
  • Recognize the benefit of using the Pediatric Imaging Safety Checklist when scanning pediatric patients.
