Course description: 

This course will be taught by Travis C Batts, MD. F.A.C.C. Educational material will consist of informal discussions that will provide a comprehensive review of strain and its clinical value in daily practice. This course will be focused on the attendee with an interactive atmosphere that challenges the participant's level of knowledge. Educational material will be presented in the form of lectures and case presentations.

• Discuss the historical context and physics of strain.
• Explain how to accurately measure strain
• Understand what is needed to perform a GLS focused strain exam
• Improve the interpretation skills to differentiate disease states using strain patterns
• Discuss the use of GLS in screening, diagnosis and disease management
• Discuss the use of strain with chemotherapeutics
• Explore novel uses of strain analysis
